More takahe discovered?
PA Invercargill Evidence of another colony of takahe. separated from those already documented by the Wildlife Service, has been found in Fiordland National Park, according to the vicepresident of the New Zealand Deerstalkers’ Association. Mr John Bamford. However, Mr Bamford has told a meeting between recreational hunters and the National Parks and Reserves Authority in Gore that the discoverers of the birds were unwilling to say where they had been found.
