Top award for export successs
PA Wellington The Auckland firm. Turners and Growers Exports. Ltd. has won the Gov-ernor-General's Award for Exporting. The award, established in 1974, is New Zealand's most prestigious export award. Turners and Growers Exports is the ninth company to win the award and the first from the horticultural sector. The Governor-General. Sir David Beatlie. announcing the award, said: "It is per.haps timely that this industry which is experiencing a period of both rapid expansion and diversification should receive recognition for its growing contribution to New Zealand's export earnings."
