O’Rourke wins javelin

NZPA London The javelin thrower. Michael O'Rourke, of Auckland, was the most successful New Zealander yesterday at the Alcoa track and field meeting in Melbourne. He threw the javelin 85.06 m to win the men's event in the preBrisbane Games meeting. Of the other New Zealanders, the former world 5000 metres record holder.
