But. according to the “Daily Telegraph." . the ■ occasion was ■likely to be more Royal than red. It was held in the Lady Diana suite at the Queen’s Hotel. King’s Road. Double trouble A SOLICITOR on duty at Marylebone Magistrate’s Court in London visited a
woman defendant . In the cells, says “The Times" diarist. “The trouble." she told him. "is that I am a schizophrenic." He promised to do what he could, and when her case was called he rose in his place and said. "I appear to represent this woman." Bargains THE A.N.Z. Bank in Christchurch has been advising, its more mature customers of concessions made to them. The bank has granted current account fee exemptions to those customers who have their National Superannuation payments credited direct to their current accounts. Superannuatant customers of the bank who also hold A.N.Z. Bankcards are also now exempt from the
bankcard statement ' fee charge.
Depreciation THE severity of Canterbury’s drought was brought home'to a Christchurch man when he and his wife were invited for dinner at a farmer’s house. The farmer’s son asked if he could go rabbit shooting. The farmer said there were no rabbits about.
