Air towers reopening
NZPA Washington The United States Federal Administration is reopening dozens of airport towers that were closed after the strike by air traffic controllers in August. 1981. Almost half of those towers, all at small airports, were expected to be re-
opened by early January, agency officials said. Twenty-six have already resumed. The towers are being reopened as newly trained controllers become available or as conditions in the air traffic system allow controllers to return to their old jobs at the smaller airports.
