South Africa
Sir,—lt is interesting to note the member countries of the United Nations who are demanding "one man one vote" in South Africa. They include Russia, China, Cuba, East Germany, Vietnam and many other dictatorships. The communist dominated United Nations has given $ll6 million over the last eight years to terrorist groups operating across the South African border. Thev include the P.L.0., 5.W.A.P.0., A.N.C., and P.A.C. The P.L.O. enjoys “permanent observer” status at the United Nations, and receives a United Nations budget for international propaganda. The U N. officially endorses violent "armed struggle" by the Com-
munist P.L.0., S.W.A.P.O. and others, against U.N. member States including tacit approval of terrorist attacks on civilians. Obviously the U.N. has no concern for the welfare of African blacks, they aim for communist domination of South Africa which will give them control over the sea-lanes to the East, the Indian Ocean, and most of the oil from the Persian Gulf. New Zealanders who condemn South Africa are putty in the hands of the communists.—Yours, etc., FRANK FREEMAN. September 6, 1982.
