Netball sponsorship
Under-age netballers will benefit from a new sponsorship announced yesterday by the president of the New Zealand Netball Association (Mrs Anne Taylor).
> A series of six tournaments — three each in the under-18 and under-16 agegroups — will be held throughout New Zealand thanks to the sponsorship from the Prudential Assurance Co. Three of the tournaments will be held in Christchurch, Wellington and Hamilton this' week-end, and the other
three will be in Dunedin, Napier and Auckland next month. National finals are being planned for the tournaments next year. “The tournaments will
strengthen the game at junior level,” said Mrs Taylor. “This should ensure that players of world standard are coming through to senior level all the time.” The Prudential will also sponsor matches between New Zealand regional squads and the All-Australia team next month in Ashburton, Wellington and Hamilton.
