Robbers still at large
The Christchurch police are still seeking the two men who held up a Linwood service station at gunpoint on Saturday morning and es--caped with $7O. The two masked gunmen were reportedly both “shaking like leaves” during the hold-up and in their haste to i flee the Gainsborough Ser- I vice Station, in Linwood s Avenue, they dropped $265. s
As they left the men fired shotgun blasts into the service station’s front windows. Both robbers were probably in their early 20s, about 183 cm (6ft) tall, and of slim build. Both wore faded blue jeans. One was wearing a jacket, fawn soft-leather shoes, and tan gloves with zips on the sides. The other had running shoes.
