Dress at ballet
Sir,—Having been fortunate to have been present at Saturday night’s performance of the wonderful Bolshoi Ballet, of which I enjoyed every moment, I feel I must say how truly ashamed I was at the standard of the dress of many women who attended the ballet; even dungarees, knickerbockers, and boots were noticed. Have women lost all pride in how they look? I am not forgetting men in casual clothes plus ski jackets. I invite people to take a look at themselves and to remember that they are judged on how they dress and look.— Yours, etc., M. MILNE. April 18, 1982.
