Climber injured

Greymouth reporter An injured climber, Murry Walsh, of Christchurch, was flown out of the Morpeth Hut in the Wilberforce River area yesterday morning and admitted to the Grey Hospital, suffering from a knee injury. The Arthur’s Pass National Park rangers were alerted to

the injury after a radio call from the hut. They got in touch with the Greymouth police who, after 'advice from the Health Department, arranged for a Hokitika helicopter flown by Mr J. Dixon to fly into the area. The Greymouth police first got word at 10.30 a.m., and Mr Walsh was admitted to hospital at 12.55 p.m.
