Currently in our Christchurch office we have opportunities for qualified Accountants with a strong interest in the field of taxation to become involved in a specialised area, providing taxation advice to both local and international clients in the broad spectrum of Industry and commerce. Specifically we are seeking the following:— TAX MANAGER (DESIGNATE) We would envisage that this person would hold a law or commerce degree and be a member of the New Zealand Society of Accountants. He or she would have a good accounting/audit or legal background, and four or five years of practical experience. The successful person would be expected to be well versed in New Zealand Taxation law and practise, or capable of becoming so within a short period. TAX SENIOR We are seeking a person who has completed a law or commerce degree, and has at least completed the, membership requirements of the New Zealand Society of Accountants. It is not necessary that the person has had a tax consultancy background, but a two or three year accountancy/audit legal background and strong desire to do tax work are sought. For both positions, we would expect the successful applicants to have good communication skills, the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels, and the capacity to establish effective working relationships with clients and other taxation specialists. Training in all aspects of our taxation work will be provided and career development prospects are excellent. . These positions will appeal to those who are seeking challenging growth opportunities.
