Two members of the Canterbury Antique Collectors Club, Mrs Ruth Verstraete, left, and Mrs Teresa Maclntyre, value a 100-year-old Russian bronze statue of a horse pulling a troika, at the Farmers-Haywrights store in Cashel Street yesterday. Members of the club, who will be at the store until tomorrow, are valuing items for members of the public at 50 cents each. The money from the project will help to meet the cost of refurbishing the Kilmarnock Room in Riccarton House.
