New boxing title
NZPA-Reuter Johannesburg Ossie Ocasio of Puerto Rico became the first holder of the World Boxing Association's new cruiserweight title with a split points decision over the South African, Robbie Williams, on Saturday. The skilful Puerto Rican
subdued his enthusiastic opponent with clever defence and penetrating jabs to the head and body. Williams twice had Ocasio in trouble after solid rights and lefts to the head but never appeared capable of putting his opponent down.
