Lapsley wins golf
PA Invercargill Jim Lapsley made the long trip from North Canterbury well worth while when he won the 72hole Southland stroke play golf championship at Otatara at the week-end for the fourth time. Lapsley. a dominant force on the Southland golf scene before
buying a farm in North Canterbury about two years ago. finished with a six under par total of 286. He finished five strokes clear of the second placegetter Paul Adams, the only other player in the field to finish the 72 holes under the card.
