Wellington win softball
PA Blenheim Wellington defeated Auckland in a closely fought final to take the New Zealand under-18 girls’ softball tournament in Blenheim yesterday. The Wellington side took the game by one run after nine innings, with the final score being 2-1. Other results: Nelson 11. Whangarei 6; Manawatu 19. Otago 0: MidCanterbury 9.
