Fencers on tour
Members of the New Zealand under 20 fencing team competing in Australia this month will have an excellent opportunity beforehand to find form. Before the tournaments start, the squad of 11 will attend a 10day training camp which begins tomorrow at the Canberra College of Advanced Education. The team, managed by Mr Steven Gilliver. of Wellington, will compete in the Australian
under 20 national championships at Canberra from January 26 to 28 and (hen the Australia Day tournament from January 30 to February 1
Canterbury has four members in the team. Jillian Lloyd competes in the women's foil and the others are Peter Kell (foil, sabre). Andrew Shaw (foil, epee, sabre), and Paul Reynolds (epee, sabre).
