Woolston’s Errol Byrne will captain the Canterbury side to compete in the South Island Under-14 boys' softball tournament at Balclutha. which begins on Monday. The full team, sponsored by Hertz Rentals, is:—Byrne. Aaron Flynn, Bevan Nalepa. Tane Sutton. Nigel Perreau, Michael Reason (Woolston). David Hawker (vice-captain). Mark Wright (Kaiapoi). Kane Robinson, Glen Lapslie, Michael Thomas. Chris Britt. Stephen Cate. Brian Shields (Burnside). Darren Rea (United). A husband-and-wife combination of Eddie and Lesley Byrne will fill the coaching and managerial duties respectively.
