Yacht makes for land
PA Dunedin The lone round-the-world yachtsman Paul Rodgers is heading for the Falkland Islands, after rounding Cape Horn, to repair the main steering gear on his 42ft craft, the Spirit of Pentax. The problem, caused by erosion, was not a serious
one. according to a Dunedin radio enthusiast who has kept in touch with the solo yachtsman. Rodgers, attempting a double circumnavigation of the world, expects to reach the Islands this morning. (N.Z. time).
