Milk-fat price rise declined
PA .Wellington The Dairy Board has declined a further application by the dairy section of Federated Farmers for an increase in the basic price of milk fat.
Federated Farmers said that its dairy section had asked for a basic price closer to the Government’s supplementary minimum price level of 280 c a kilogram of milk fat.
The board had insisted that the present disquiet in the marketplace over casein and skim-milk powder prices
precluded support for taking a case to the Price Fixing Authority.
