Riccarton lost to St Albans after making 95 in reply to St Albans’ 60-over total of 130. Sue Rattray had Riccarton off to a reasonable start with bowling figures of 6/25 but a tight attack from St Albans’ Liz Wilson and Karen Hadlee put paid to Riccarton's chances. Leslie Murdoch top-scored for Riccarton. with 35.

In the other match Sydenham. 171/6, beat Lancaster Park. 116, in spite of losing its top order cheaply.
