Tower union ban
An order barring the Professional Air Traffic .Controllers’ Organisation from serving as the union for American controllers has come into effect with a decision by
the Court of Appeals. The order ending the union’s certification as bargaining agent for the controllers was issued last week by the Federal Labour Relations Authority, which regulates unions representing Federal em-
ployees. The Court blocked the order after an appeal by the union, but has lifted its stay on the order while a three-judge panel of the Court considers Palco's appeal.—Washington.
