Protesters ‘minority’
The American Defence Secretary (Mr Caspar Weinberger) has said that the United States would be concerned if anti-nuclear protests in Western Europe affected N.A.T.O.’s plans for deploying nuclear weapons. But he added in a television interview that he thought last week-end protests m West European capitals reflected a minority view. Earlier, the White House said that while the demonstrations were an expression of concern by free people, "they do not represent a widespread view oi West European citizens.’’—Washington.
