Saving animals
Sir,—l have just seen the TV programme, “Our World” on Television Two. It related to saving the orangutans from extinction. It is wonderful to see people helping these animals to live as they should. Man not only deprives the orangutans of rain forest to live in but also interferes with the laws of nature. The two Swiss girls are doing a wonderful job and are to be commended for trying to save these “men of the forest.” If more people cared for animals the world would be a better place to live in. I hope their example will be followed — Yours, etc., Mrs BETTY PRESCOTT. October 26, 1981.
