Two men on robbery charge
PA Auckland Two men have appeared in the District Court at Auckland charged with the aggravated robbery of the Green Lane branch of the Auckland Savings Bank. Errol Dean Clarkson, aged 24, a fork hoist driver, of Meadowbank, and John Kevin Jubb, aged 22, a groundsman, of Remuera, were remanded to November 2 without pleas pending further charges.
They were jointly charged with robbing Cynthia Hope Smith, an employee of the bank, of $5786 while armed with an offensive weapon, a shotgun. An apnlication for the interim suppression of Clarkson’s name was refused.
