Police watching game
Sir,—As one of those who took part in the demonstration on Saturday, I read with great, anger in “The Press” this morning that the Blue Squad “clambered up to watch the last few minutes of the test,” thus adding insult to injuries received by some protesters. This action makes a mockery of assurances of impartiality given by police commanders. In order that the name of the police force be not further disgraced. I sincerely hope that the Police Commissioner will publicly forbid his officers to repeat this provocative action.—Yours, etc., ■ JAMES McALOON. August 17, 1981.
