Seminar on ’quakes
Two dozen engineers and geologists will spend two days this month at the University of Canterbury finding out how. when, and why New Zealand moves under our feet.
The university's department of extension studies
will run a seminar on •seismic Risk Analysis in New Zealand" on August 24 and 25.
The seminar will review modern techniques for analysing seismic risk in engineering contracts, with special reference to New Zealand's seismic history.
