Kiwi team tour
PA Auckland The Kiwis will make a shortened rugby league tour of Australia next year — two tests, with provision for a third, and lasting six weeks instead of two months.
The New Zealand chairman, Mr Ron McGregor, had preliminary discussions on the itinerary while attending a meeting of the International Board in Port Moresby last week.
The first Test will be played in July and the second three weeks later. If the series is still alive, New Zealand will return to Australia later in the season for the decider. After five weeks in Australia, the Kiwis will go to Papua New Guinea for a week.
