North Beach A. the second from bottom team in the first division of the Sunday soccer league caused the major surprise in matches yesterday.
It trailed the second-placed Condor. 0-2, but battled back to win 3-2, the winner coming just before the end. Avonhead A increased its lead in the competition.
Paul Gallagher scored four times for Avonhead B in its second division win. Sunnyside still leads the division, followed by Lyttelton.
