Late tries secure win
PA Motueka Two late tries to Nelson Bays gave them a 13-3 win over Buller in 'their South Island second division rugby match, at Motueka yesterday. Buller led 3-0 until the last quarter of the match when the Nelson Bay’s full-back, Stuart Daymon, equalised with a penalty. Nelson Bays took the lead in the dying
stages of the match when their centre, Stewart Robertson, crashed over for a try after a strong forward drive. Two minutes later the flanker, Kerry Kotua, scored after another strong forward effort and Daymon converted. The second five-eighths, David Baird, kicked Buller’s points.
