Strong hockey team
A strong Canterbury women’s hockey team has been named to defend the K Cup at the national tournament in Palmerston North in September. There are six New Zealand representatives in the team — Lesley Murdoch, Mary Clinton, Robyn Blackman,
Nickey Sherriff, Judith Phillips and Chris McCauley. The team is: Murdoch; dintbn, Anthea Feaver, Blackman,. Debbie Hockley, McCauley (captain), Pip Ashton; Phillips (vice-cap-tain), Leeanne Doig, Maree Flannery, Julie Reid, Henrietta Carroll. Manager: Mrs A. Timlin.
