England’s nosedive
NZPA Basle, Switzerland England’s chances of reaching Spain for the finals of the World Soccer Cup nosedived in Basle yesterday when it was beaten, 2-1, by the bottom-of-the-table Switzerland in Group 4 of the qualifying competition. ,
Losing the match it had to win before facing Hungary on June 6, England is nowoh five points from as many matches and looks like being overtaken by Hungary and Rumania in the race to Spain.
