Woman found dead in her garden

PA Wellington Five young children became destitute on Thursday night after their mother was found dead in her garden at Moera. The children are now being looked after by relatives. Neighbours called an ambulance after Apoua Pepe Mercury, aged 41, a solo mother was .found in the garden of her home. Detective Inspector C. W. Wilson, of the Lower Hutt C. 1.8., said Mrs Mercury

appeared to have died from head injuries. A man and a woman appeared before Judge Bremner in the District Court at Lower liutt yesterday morning charged with ,the manslaughter of' Mrs Mercury. Dean Edward Heemi, aged 20, and Gillian Anne Jamieson, aged 19, both of Moera, were each remanded without plea to June 4 on bail of $5OOO and a surety of $2OOO.
