Weight beats Casey

Michael Casey, the successful Wingatui jockey, has decided to finish race riding because of increased weight. Casey, who completed his time last month, now weighs 60kg, and will probably bow out after the Otago winter meeting. Casey has ridden 77 winners. He has ridden Powley in her 11 wins this season.
Casey hopes 'to obtain employment in a stock and station agency with a view to specialising in bloodstock.
