The Estuary
Sir,—For the sixteenth time this season residents in some areas of South New Brighton have been subjected to excessive noise levels from week-end powerboat activity on the Estuary. Today unsilenced craft in kilo trials were producing phenomenal sound levels exceeding 100 D.B.A. at the edge of the Estuary. When is the City Council going to enforce its by-laws and give residents and wild-life the protection to which they are entitled? — Yours, etc.,
J. M. INGLIS. May 23, 1981.
