Cyclone deaths
At least seven people have been killed and hundreds injured or made homeless when cyclones swept through parts of northern and eastern Bangladesh, according to reports. The Bengali daily newspapers “Sangbad” and “Ittefaq" said storms, at speeds reaching 80 to 115 km/h. flattened houses.
