Immigration conference
PA Wellington A conference of Australian Federal and State immigration and ethnic affairs Ministers will be held in Wellington in April, the Minister of Immigration (Mr Malcolm) has said. About 30 Ministers and senior officials were expected from Australia for the conference, which would be held during the week before Easter, he said. The conference is held every six months, usually in Australian state capitals. New Zealand has been participating in the conference for the last 2 years and a half. This is the first time the meeting has taken place in New, Zealand. . Mr Malcolm said he would also have official talks with his Australian counterpart, Mr lan MacPhee.
