Duke of Edinburgh awards
Seven young Christchurch people are among 60 young men and w’omen who will receive gold level Duke of Edinburgh Awards from the Prince of Wales at Lower Hutt tomorrow. The awards were announced by the Duke of Edinburgh’s award scheme national co-ordinator, Sir Patrick O’Dea. The Christchurch recipients are: Andrew Dunn, Christ's College; Anne Giles, Girl Guide Association; JohnGrigg, Christ’s College; Hamish Kim, Cadet Force, No. 18 Squadron, Air Training Corps; Brian Levick, Boys’ Brigade; Averile Stanton, Girls’ Brigade; Christopher Teague, Boys’ Brigade.
