Visit to China

NZPA staff correspondent Shanghai A parliamentary delega-.. tion led by the Speaker (Sir Richard Harrison) will visit China next month. The party will also include Messrs M. J. Minogue (Nat., Hamilton West). A. P. D. Friedlander (Nat., New Plymouth). F. M. Colman (Lab., Heretaunga), and R. K. Maxwell (Lab., Waitakere). They are due in Peking from Tokyo on April 3. man of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee, Mr Ulanfu, who is one of the few leading Chinese politicians from Inner Mongolia. He is also a member of the Central Committee politbureau and led a National People's Congress delegation to New Zealand in 1977. The New Zealanders will travel to Xian on April 6, to Chengdu the next day, to Kunming on April 9. and to Canton on April 11. They will leave China by going to’Hong Kong on April 12. A previous speaker’s tour, led by the late Sir Roy Jack, took place in 1977.
