PA Levin Wanganui Collegiate’s form on the first day of the New Zealand secondary schools’ rowing championships on Lake Horowhenua yesterday should rriake it favourite for the final of the prestigious Springbok Shield event for under-19 boys’ fours. Collegiate’s No. 1 team won Its heat by half a length from Otu-
moetai. The Collegiate No. 2 team also won Its heat by a length, from St Kentigerns No, Taurang* showed its promise by winning its heat. 11 lengths ahead of Christ's College. The other heat in this event was won 1 by Hamilton Boy* over Hauraki : Plains. Conditions throughout the first I day were excellent. j
