Migration drops
PA Wellington Net loss of population in New Zealand through migration has • dropped rapidly. Figures given yesterday by the Deputy Government Statistician (Mr R. J. Latimer) showed that permanent and long-term migration during 1980 involved 23,593 people, well below the 1979 figure of 41,791.
