DC10 crash film
Wellington reporter
A 30-minute film documentary on New Zealand’s worst air disaster — the Mount Erebus crash — is being completed by a Wellington film-maker, John Keir. The film will include extensive footage of the proceedings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the crash. “What we were able to film was the real thing — all the drama and tension of an actual court of inquiry,” Mr Keir said. The 11m pieces together events immediately before and after the crash, and will include footage of the wreckage.
