Receiving charge to be defended
A man, aged 47, alleged to have received five toilet pans, valued at $250, was remanded to April 13 for a defended hearing when he appeared in the District Court before Judge Fraser yesterday. Paul Patrick Lennon is charged with having committed the offence at Ashburton on February 3. Bail of $l5OO was con-j tinued. INDECENCIES ALLEGED A man, aged 53, charged l
with permitting two young girls to do indecent acts on him, was remanded in custody to February 17. 'No pleas were entered by Robert John Steele, a driver, who is alleged to have committed both offences on Sunday. One girl was aged six add tlie other seven. Bail was opposed by Sergeant G. C. Jones who sought and was granted suppression of the names of the two girls.
