Totem pole
Sir. — I would like to thank Mr D. L. Steele who was in charge of the restoration of the totem pole and those involved in placing it in its real place at Christchurch Airport where all can see it. As a totem pole is a great honour for our city it should not be hidden to rot in Hagley Park. As my ancestors are American Indian I thank you. — Yours etc. Ms MARLENE TINDALL. Cherokee tribe.
