Focus on Islam
“The resurgence of Islam” is the theme of the next W.E.A. summer school, to be held at Hanmer Springs. The school, which will begin on December 27 and end on January 4, will concentrate •on the political, social, and religious implications of the resurgence for New Zealand and the rest of the world; Formal lectures will be supplemented by daily outings, debates, and occasional social gatherings. The main speaker will be Dr William Shepard, a senior lecutrer in philosophy and religious studies at the University of Canterbury.
