Divorce at 101
NZPA Brighton Harold Bidwell, aged 101, says that he is looking for a new bride after divorcing his wife, aged 65, because she was not domesticated enough. They married when he was 92. "At my age, I need care and comfort,” Mr Bidwell said. He will seek a place in the “Guinness Book of Records” as Britain’s oldest divorcee.
He was granted a divorce on the ground that the marriage had broken down, because his wife walked out when he complained about he way she did the housework.
