Salmond
The unaudited taxpaid profit of Salmond Industries, Ltd, Wellington pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturer, edged up 1,4 per cent to $472,104 in the six months to September 30, the directors announced. The result does not include the profit of associated companies. An unchanged dividend of 7c a share has been declared, payable on February 2, ex dividend January 23.
The dividend, amounting to $200,609, is payable on the whole issued capital of $2,865,847 which includes 358,231 100 c share issued in September. The cash purchase of all the shares of E. J. Hyams and Son, Ltd, has been completed, the directors said. This subsidiary, which imports Oneida community plate silverware, Minolta cameras, Parker pens, and various sports goods, will continue to trade under its own name.
