Wales v. New Zealand
.Sir, — I am tired of hearing .New Zealand sports commentators referring to the. forthcoming match between Wales and New Zealand (note: the home side is always named first) as a “test” match. It is not a test match; it is an international match. A test match is one of a series between two countries. A single match is an international. When will they ever' learn? Incidentally, John Collins’s description of the lead-up to the Cardiff match should be made compulsory reading for all B.C.N.Z. sports commentators — brilliant des-' criptive writing. — Yours, etc.,
