Prisoner sought
The Christchurch police are looking for a prisoner, aged 21, out on a pre-release work scheme, who failed to return to custody as scheduled yesterday morning. The prisoner, Russel Douglas White, was last seen wearing jeans and a T-shirt. He is described as a male European, 172 cm (sft 6in) tall, of medium build, with blond hair and blue eyes. The police have asked that anyone seeing him get in touch with the nearest police station.
