Fluoridation
Sir, — Fluoridation is a visible success-story, both in New Zealand and in other countries. It is safe, efficient, simple and cheap, and is accepted as such by the unperturbed users of the treated water. Antis persist in their monotonous and irrelevant chants and rude gestures but get no support from those who use fluoridated water. “Freedom of choice” is only a propaganda mask. Behind the mask is obdurate and anti-social obstructionism. From time to time, I rather enjoy the certain knowledge that, at any time, the gastric juices of the cit antis will show a positive test for sodium fluoride. — Yours, etc., J. DUGDALE.
