NZPA Leeds New Zealand’s Bob Charles lies in fourth place, five strokes behind the leader, after the third round of the Haig Whisky golf tournament at Moortown, Leeds, yesterday, Bernard Gallagher, of Scotland, who shot his third consecutive sub-par round of the tournament yesterday, leads the field. Three
strokes behind him is Severiano Ballesteros, of Spain. Gallagher - fought back from a two-stroke deficit to Ballesteros at one stage yesterday to record a 54-hole total of 199. Ballesteros shared the lead until the last hole, where he took a triple bogey. The other New Zealander in the tournament, Simon Owen, is on 212 after three rounds.
